The AL-KO ATC is an automatic stability control system for your caravan, that detects and corrects the tendency to snake. The snake is undoubtedly the caravanner's worst nightmare. The risk of snaking can be minimised by good maintenance, correct tyre pressures, careful loading and tow-hitch stabilisers. Even then, a snake can be induced by road, wind or traffic conditions.
If you are unfortunate enough, after all your precautions, to experience a snake, are you confident you can drive out of it? The AL-KO ATC removes this uncertainty. It's sensitive accelerometer detects minute lateral oscillations that could develop in to a snake. The controller gently applies the brakes, you'll hardly notice it happen, but it is enough to stop the oscillation.
The AL-KO ATC can be retro-fitted to most caravans - call us or send us an email if you are not sure about your unit. Fitting takes about 2 hours (more or less depending on the caravan). We also have a small caravan site next to our service centre - you can come and stay with us free for 1 night when you book in for fitting the AL-KO ATC Trailer Control system.
